Do the contents go directly into the water at the bottom of the pan? Or can you only use the sieve for the contents?

When I cook meat, it goes on the bottom with water. I only use the colander for vegetables or potatoes.

The sieve is placed on a metal triangle.
I wouldn't buy another pressure cooker. I am FULLY satisfied.

If you only want to steam vegetables, place them on the sieve and make sure that the water level remains below the sieve. If you want to cook faster than in a normal pot, put everything in the water and leave the colander outside. This is ideal for vegetables that need to cook for a long time, such as sauerkraut or red cabbage. I find it very practical for lentils and hard beans such as kidney beans etc. I hope this helps you. Yours sincerely.

i actually only use the sieve for potatoes. for bacon and beans without the sieve. i think it works for vegetables with the sieve. i've never burnt anything. no matter whether vegetables or meat.
