Does anyone else have the problem of black mould on the "filter age" display? The new display thing with the two long legs has so many notches and holes that water vapour gets in everywhere.... ?? Or is that due to our use?

I have been using the Brita filter for the third year in a row. I just checked again and the only thing I can find are lime spots.

Steam ? Do you use hot water with the filter ? The instructions say to use cold water only and I have had good experience with that so far.
