Does the Comfee remember the settings and on/off status when the power is off? I would like to operate it on a timer, but this is only possible if it switches on again automatically with the same settings when the power comes back on.

Yes, it works for me. I have the dehumidifier connected to a hydrometer "timer". This "feeds" power back to the appliance as soon as the humidity is too high.
