Does the scale memorise the unit of measurement? So if I use grams and switch off the scale, does it use grams again or do I have to change it every time because the American unit of measurement is standard?

The "APPLE PIE" digital kitchen scales from TFA Dostmann do not automatically save the last unit of measurement used. Each time you switch on the scales, you have to select the desired unit of measurement again, as the scales do not save the last status.

What is the standard unit, i.e. the one that is set every time the device is switched on?
Grams would be good. But if something American comes up every time and I always have to change it, I'll probably look for a different scale
