The vacuum manages to go around the furniture as best it can. The laser has some small blind spots, so it can happen that it bumps into furniture. However, I have not yet experienced any damage as a result. However, I wouldn't put a valuable glass vase or other very fragile pieces on the floor just like that. For such delicate things, you can set up exclusion zones on the app. Then it won't suck there.
The vacuum cleaner does not need light and can vacuum well in the dark. In the office, however, make sure that there are no loose cables hanging around or lying on the floor. The vacuum cleaner has a hard time with that.
