does this filter really work for the miele classic c1? the miele helpline and fust consultant both say no, but the operating instructions state that an upgrade should be possible

Yes, the filter fits. It's not entirely intuitive how to use it. But once you've got the hang of it, it fits very well in the Classic C1.

It seems so but it is difficult to say for sure. If you have problems with severe allergies, I would try asking your doctor if measuring what you filter can help or not.
