Has anyone read and understood the package insert/sticker for this product? The product is highly toxic, even in the long term. It contains extremely strong surfactants - also toxic. How can you dump such toxic substances into the appliance! When I clean the appliance later, the deposits in the appliance inevitably end up in the sewage treatment plant. That's not good. Even worse: I dump this highly toxic agent into the water that is supposed to clean and humidify my air. How is that supposed to work? For better or worse, the toxic substances are released into the air during this process, actively. Breathing in such poisoned air all the time can't really be healthy either?
Venta writes the following about this:
The main active ingredients used in the Venta hygiene agent are readily biodegradable, which can ultimately be easily verified by the consumption within the approx. 10-14 day application period. The other additives or their reaction products are substances that do not have a harmful effect on the environment because they already occur in nature. Therefore, the residual water can be disposed of safely, e.g. via the toilet.
Test data for the cationic surfactant contained:
OECD Confirmatory Test: > 90%, Method: OECD 302 A Modified SCAS Test: > 99%, Test duration: 7 d, Method: OECD 302 A
CO2 formation: 95.5%, readily biodegradable, test duration 28 d, method: OECD 301 B
IS THE VENTA HYGIENIC AGENT HARMFUL?
In over ten years of practice, the Venta hygienic agent has proved to be
in the Venta air washer has proven itself millions of times without ever
of a critical case of a health hazard or exposure. On the contrary: Many people suffering from pollen
and house dust allergies use the Venta air washer all year round - even outside the heating season. However, due to the increasingly stringent legal requirements (ReaCH and CLP), certain properties of the respective ingredients must be considered separately. Areas that go beyond the scope of application of the hygiene product (e.g. contact with the skin, ingestion, etc.) are taken into account so that the consumer can act accordingly and take precautions. Nothing has changed with regard to the ingredients and the associated good properties. Of course, as with all household cleaning and care products, they must be handled with care and children must not be allowed access to them.
The water in the Venta air washer should be changed every 10-14 days. A dosage unit is only added when replacing (not refilling) the water (scale for unit type on the back of the bottle).
Shelf life: 30 months from production date unopened. After opening the bottle, the Venta hygienic agent should be used within 12 months.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS OF VENTA HYGIENIC AGENT?
DO THE DEPOSITS IN THE BOTTOM PART AND ON THE PLATE STACK AFFECT THE FUNCTION OF THE AIR WASHER?
No. Any residues in the bottom part and on the plate stack (white, green-yellowish or brownish deposits) do NOT impair the function of the Venta air washer. The addition of the Venta hygienic agent guarantees perfect hygienic operation.
True. None of that sounds good. However, I don't have the impression that I've been inhaling poison for 10 years... See also https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images... You are probably surrounded by completely different poisons every day.... All the best.
