Hello! I have just dried onions with my dehydrator and suspect that a few pieces have slipped into the lower part of the appliance through the cracks. Do I have to remove them? And how do I do that?

I have never removed this. Switch off the Dehydrex, turn it over and shake out what comes out. I've had mine for a few years and things fall out every now and then. Three months ago, the heating system broke. I ordered a new one from Stöckli and rebuilt it myself. I had to open the appliance and there was practically no dirt or debris in it.
