Hello If I want to install this in the basement, what hub does it need so that I can monitor it with the Aquara Home app?

You don't necessarily need the one from Aqara.
Depending on how experienced you are, you can use a Raspbee with Conbee. With it, you can also integrate Ikea and Philips Hue products, for example.

I use various Aqara sensors and two Ikea roller blinds this way. Everything is controlled via Home Assistant.

If you are only interested in the sensors and not so much in smart home, then the hub from Aqara is probably the simplest solution.
Of course, many things can be done with it, but never as easily or as diversely as with the open systems.

What is the temperature range of this sensor? Does the sensor only work with a hub? I only want to check the temperature in the app. That's all I need in principle. It's for a holiday home to check the temperature via wifi (remotely). Or would there be something more suitable for this? Thank you very much.

Take the Aqara M1S. Important: There are now sensors with E1 as a version. These are not compatible with the old sensors. So E1 sensors would have to be connected to an E1 hub.

I would recommend the Aqara hubs. There are 4-5 different ones. With loudspeaker (Hub M1 with alarm siren) or others without loudspeaker (without sirens) If you need siren, then M1S or M1. If you don't need a siren, then the Aqara Hub E1 (only works with E1 series sensors).
