How exactly do you change this squeegee?
Or how do you remove the existing (no longer sucking) squeegee?
I want to loosen mine first before ordering the replacement part, not that it won't fit.
My Zyliss grater is certainly more than 25 years old. (aluminium model)

I used these instructions to change the squeegee on my (also over 20 year old) Zyliss/aluminium model without any problems.

Since then, I've been able to work perfectly with the Zyliss again. It really works perfectly. My absolute recommendation.

Man muss den Hebel ganz nach oben drehen (vertikal) und ihn ein Bisschen heftig herausziehen. Der Saugfuss wird so befreit. 
Simply turn the lever vertically upwards and pull it with a little force. The suction cup is then released.
