How is condensation drained from the split air conditioner? I only know of monobloc units that have a container for the collected condensation that has to be emptied regularly.

Condensation is periodically and automatically pumped to the outdoor unit and discharged into the open air from there. In addition, the condensation can be drained manually from the indoor unit if necessary (e.g. if you do not wish to wait for the automatic drainage process to complete).
