How is condensation drained from the split air conditioner? I only know of monobloc units that have a container for the collected condensation that has to be emptied regularly.

With a split appliance, the condensation water is usually drained from the indoor unit via a drain hose. A container that needs to be emptied regularly is not normally necessary here.

Condensation is periodically and automatically pumped to the outdoor unit and discharged into the open air from there. In addition, the condensation can be drained manually from the indoor unit if necessary (e.g. if you do not wish to wait for the automatic drainage process to complete).
