How much time does this effectively save? For example, if you cut pmmes by hand 10 times a year and need about 10 minutes each (total 100 minutes)...? How long does a load last with the Schnapps? (I still need good arguments to convince my wife ;D)

The issue is rather that all fries are cut to the same size and can therefore be deep-fried to the point. If they are different thicknesses, the small pieces are hard and the larger ones are not yet cooked... That's more why I bought this. Not because of the time saving greetings ;-)

It is much quicker. I can't say how much time you actually save. It would never occur to me to cut out so many fries individually by hand. For 28 CHF, you can't do much wrong. The thing does what it is supposed to do. However, very large potatoes have to be cut in half first.
