Question about iRobot Roomba 960

I am considering replacing my current robot hoover (Samsung POWERBot) with a new, smarter one. The Samsung gets wedged on the feet of my dining room chairs (cantilever) every day. The metal is about 1 cm high. It runs over it and then gets stuck. Is it possible to exclude certain areas in the flat from the iRobot map? For example, a table with chairs?

Good day Driftar1942,

Unfortunately you cannot demarcate the areas on the map itself, as David correctly explained, you can do this with the virtual walls.
You can test whether the Roomba 960 gets stuck on your chairs thanks to Buy&Try.
If you are not satisfied, you can return the Roomba 960 to us.

Thank you and best regards
Your iRobot Team

Hello, and thank you very much for your answers. It's certainly on the shortlist. Personally, I find the virtual walls too cumbersome. I would have to put up several such walls for the dining room table and its chairs, and they would be in the middle of the room, which is not exactly ideal.

But who knows, maybe such a function will come with a firmware update. It should be technically feasible, the map exists, and the vacuum cleaner also has a navigation system inside ;-)
