Question about Meross Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat
I bought the device this week and didn't see, or rather didn't realise, that it was only for electric and not water-based underfloor heating systems. However, as there is a separately switched contact (where I could bridge 230v) I honestly don't understand why this switch shouldn't work for water-based underfloor heating systems. Can someone explain this, or do I have to return the device?

better return it and buy another one - this one is for electronic underfloor heating, there I use 4 of them, works like a dream but it has a sensor, a temp sensor, which must be under the floor. Return it and change it.
You can still use it and connect it as you describe it in your message. It will work. I have used one of those for my water based underfloor heating system
Return. Actuators for underfloor heating require a different amperage than electric heating.
