Hello, according to Philips, each filter can filter up to 95 litres of water. The machine does not automatically recognise new filters, so they have to be activated each time. However, after each cycle of 8 activations, you need to descale for 30 minutes and you're normally on your way to another cycle of 8 filters. If I've understood correctly, the 8 filters are linked to the programming done by the user in relation to the hardness of the water used.
