I ordered the Krups Citiz in chrome the day before yesterday and received it today. As soon as it is connected to the power supply, the machine makes an unbearable continuous buzzing noise, regardless of whether it is in standby or not. You have to disconnect the machine from the power supply to protect your ears. The problem is described everywhere on the Internet, but I didn't do any research because I thought Nespresso would only deliver well-tested products! Do not buy, choose another model!

Identical problem with the chrome. I read somewhere that this is a problem specific to chrome and does not occur with the other colours. Whatever the reason...

I have 2 of these machines in use. With both of them, the noise described does not occur, not at all, not remotely.

We also have such a Citiz at home and it is absolutely quiet, although it is often used because of the home office :-)
I have also read about the problems mentioned, but also that it is not supposed to be so loud. Maybe we received a Monday model...
