Question about Stadler Form Oskar big

I started using my new Oskar big about 1 month ago and it worked great. The last few days, however, it hardly evaporated any water, even at full speed. Now I have noticed that the filters above the water limit have dried out completely and are no longer sucking in water. Why is this already the case after one month and can I simply turn the filters inside out for another month?

You can reverse the filters, that's what I do. Important, don't leave the tank empty for more than a day, otherwise the filters will dry out.
You can put the filters in a basin with lukewarm water and wash them lightly, then the yellow will go away.
