If I want to heat milk and hold the switch down for 3 seconds, the appliance switches off again and nothing happens. I have to keep the switch pressed for the milk to be warmed. Has anyone had similar experiences? The instructions for use explicitly state that the appliance runs and switches off automatically.

Yes, I also found it irritating. You have to press for a short time until it flashes red briefly. And then release it immediately.

press the switch for warm milk for only 1sec and then release it. The light then flashes red and the milk is warmed up. Then switches off automatically.
