is a "cartridge" also included with the order, if not, where do I get it?

No, there is none included. You can buy the standard 60L cartridge with screw cap everywhere. The Sodastream bottles also fit (but only with screw cap). I get the cheaper bottles at Migros, FUST or Lidl.
