Yes it’s possible. You can do so either by keeping the mop pads on, or you remove them completely. I’ve tried both.

With the pads: The dust collection is not good, and you have to actively choose to enable or disable the pads prior to each clean which is a pain. I.e. it forgets the last setting each time you do a new clean. Also with the pads on, the robot is less able to get on to higher pile carpets.

Without pads: dust collection through the suction is a bit better. Also if you leave the pads permanently disconnected from the robot then the robot recognises there are no mop pads installed each clean and automatically reverts to the dust suction setting only. This makes a cleaning cycle via the app a little less arduous.
