We had the same experience as Elena Tscharner: nuts, hard bread for breadcrumbs, vegetables and everything works perfectly. We have not tried chopping ice; putting it in the sun should help ;-)

I found out myself. According to the operating instructions, nuts can be crushed. But not ice. MQ40 would be suitable for that.
