There's no indication in the instructions that a "flat" installation can be carried out, so I'd say not.
However, it doesn't make sense to put a radiator on the ceiling as the heat rises, so you'll be heating a lot for very little (this is just my opinion).

There is a ceiling mounting option in the app. However, it is not directly advertised, the suspension is for wall mounting, but if you have the appropriate mounting material, it shouldn't be a problem. I have the impression that it is possible, but they don't want to take responsibility.

I have mounted it on the ceiling. You just have to deactivate the perimeter protection beforehand, otherwise it beeps all the time.

As far as I know, you can't mount the Eco smart on the ceiling
