The plastic cup may not be properly connected to the lower part - the plastic cup must be turned until it clicks into place properly!

The display shows "Er" for error. The cooking pot, i.e. the small pan, must be seated correctly. So turn the cooking pot until it falls into the notch and clicks into place.
