The VAC 285 is the little brother of the VAC 485.
The pump of the 285 is weaker, it has a single weld seam and it does not have a built-in roller box along with a cutter and it only costs about CHF 20 less.
I would therefore recommend the VAC485.
It is easy to use, a little noisy, but a decent device for the price.
