At night, the device only lights up the time, which can be dimmed but not switched off completely. Philips offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on all wake-up lights, which allows risk-free testing at home. If, contrary to expectations, the device does not meet your expectations, you can return it without giving any reason. The purchase price will be refunded without complications.

The brightness of the display can be dimmed to different levels, so you don't have a spotlight at night. If I remember correctly, the unit already dims a little in the dark because of the ambient brightness.
