Shackle, housing and supporting parts of the locking mechanism are made of specially hardened steel. In addition, it is equipped with the picking-resistant disc cylinder "Plus". This combination has earned the Granit Plus 470 a wide variety of test seals, including from OSIMZ (Russia) and test institutes from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the UK.

Das Granit Plus 470 ist ein insgesamt gutes Bügelschloss aus dem Hause Abus. Das Schloss ist beim Anschließen aufgrund der Bauart nicht besonders flexibel, dafür bietet es jedoch einen guten Schutz vor Aufbrüchen. Das Öffnen und Schließen gelingt einfach, zumal das leichte Schloss auch bei der Haltbarkeit überzeugen kann.
