Product details
Fresh coffee is on the breakfast table, and the morning program is playing on the radio. It's 8 AM, and the city is waking up. It's slowly time to head to the office - with your Altona. Visor down, into the hustle and bustle. The asphalt rushes by beneath your bike. You flow with the traffic. No stress, no worries, with the best possible protection on your head. Altona means "all too close." The new commuter helmet from Alpina brings your destinations closer. All your destinations. Thanks to a variety of new technologies, the Altona sets new standards in safety, ventilation, comfort, and integration. The high-performance material Koroyd ensures maximum protection. The stable and extremely lightweight honeycomb structure consists of numerous small tubes that are thermally bonded together. Upon impact, they deform over a large area and absorb energy. Due to its stable construction, Koroyd also allows for significantly enlarged openings in the helmet surface, guaranteeing excellent ventilation. Ventilation channels guide the air along the inside of the helmet. With the Altona, climate management can also be actively regulated via a movable top shell. Whether on a cool morning or in the hot rush hour traffic - ventilation is always optimal. However, the Altona is much more than just a helmet. It is a helmet and glasses in one - thanks to the integrated shatterproof visor. It is available with and without Varioflex, Alpina's technology that ensures perfect visibility in all lighting conditions. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to UV light and automatically darkens. With the light silver mirror coating, infrared rays are reflected, providing 100% UV protection at all times. An additional plus: there is also enough space behind the visor for optical glasses.
