The Air Force 3 is a belay and rappel device with four rope guides designed for use with single ropes or two half or twin ropes. It allows the belayer at the anchor point to independently and self-lockingly secure one or two climbers. The small opening simplifies the release of ropes under tension. The two V-shaped rope guides facilitate easier rope payout while still providing controlled and effective braking to absorb the energy during a lead climber's fall. The two large and smooth rope guides ensure a frictionless rope flow. If the braking effect is too strong when using the V-shaped grooved rope guide, the Air Force 3 can be rotated to use the wider rope guide.
