Product details

DT Swiss HE 1800 Spline

When there is no tailwind, an E-road bike can help bring joy on long rides. The HE 1800 Spline has been specifically designed to meet the demands of E-road bikes. The sleeved rim with a wide internal width supports wide tires for an ideal combination of comfort, traction, and durability. The reinforced spokes and hub ensure longevity, while the Ratchet LN freehub system guarantees reliable power transfer through simultaneous engagement. The result is a robust and durable wheelset that allows the rider to focus on one thing: enjoying the ride.

The 370 Hybrid Spline hub has been redesigned to support higher torque from motors in E-road bikes. A higher system weight means greater braking forces are required to slow down, while the additional power from the battery results in higher drive torque during acceleration. To meet these increased demands, the hub body has been appropriately reinforced. Additionally, the freehub body has been updated with our Ratchet LN freehub system. Even our entry-level hybrid wheel models can now rely on the reliability and simultaneous engagement of the Ratchet system.

Without compromising their aerodynamic advantages, the hybrid versions of the new DT aero® hybrid spokes feature a reinforced spoke head of 2.15 mm. This is offered as a solution for higher dynamic loads due to the increased system weight, which makes the spoke head a potential weak point. Furthermore, the increased thickness of the spokes enhances their resistance to fatigue that occurs during the rotation of the wheel when each spoke is loaded and unloaded.
