Steering dampers effectively prevent the handlebars from flipping over while parking, for example on a two-legged stand. This makes the bike significantly more stable. The frame, light cables, and other attachments are no longer damaged by the handlebars flipping over. The oversized version of the steering damper is designed for use with suspension forks.
