To meet the demands of enduro mountain biking, the Tectal Race Spin has been built to be even more robust and secure, and is now additionally equipped with POC's patented Spin technology. The new Spin pads help reduce the energy that impacts the brain during a fall with an oblique impact. Gel padding on the inside of the helmet perfectly conforms to the shape of the head and absorbs linear and rotational forces through its free movement, similar to the natural protective mechanism of brain fluid. The reinforced EPS liner offers a high level of protection due to its unibody construction, which was introduced in the groundbreaking road bike helmet Octal. This manufacturing method provides an additional improvement in safety features and the integrity of the helmet's construction while maintaining a low weight. The Tectal Race Spin envelops the head more extensively than conventional mountain bike helmets. It has a highly efficient ventilation design that has been tested and optimized in a wind tunnel.
