As the Forerunner 165 Music has Bluetooth and ANT+ (both transmission standards that this HRM supports), I assume that this should be possible. This heart rate monitor can also be connected to my Sigma Velocomputer and my Concept II Indoor Rower. One can use Bluetooth and the other ANT+. This does not depend on the manufacturer, as these wireless technologies are standardised.

I have used the HRM-Dual for 2 years without any problems. I used it with a Concept2 rowing ergometer, with a Tacx bike roller and directly with the Strava app on my smartphone when cycling. Never the slightest problem. Then I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 4 watch and connected the HRM to it. Unfortunately. After a few days, the connection to Strava suddenly stopped working. Then the connection to Tacx stopped working. Only the pairing to the Concept2 works flawlessly at all times, although this is the only device that does not belong to the Garmin empire. I have now spent hours trying to re-establish the pairing with Tacx and Strava. With Tacx it now usually works again, but always with a lot of effort and a lot of lost time. I have already reset the HRM 20 times (insert the battery upside down and wait 30 seconds) and tried everything possible. My suspicion: Garmin is somehow trying to prevent the HRM from being used without a Garmin watch in order to sell more watches. Has anyone had similar experiences?

hrm-dual is not in the selection of garmin connect app. according to galaxus, however, the hrm-dual is compatible with the fenix 6 pro. in the app selection of garmin, however, i only have hrm-pro and hrm-pro plus. my iphone recognises the hrm-dual and has established a bluetooth connection. is there any way that the hrm-dual can still (and according to galaxus) work with the fenix 6 pro? otherwise the information is incorrect and the product is unusable.

I can't contribute anything to this, as I have a Venu 2 with which I can't get the HRM dual to work at all. The belt was a bad buy for me.

I can't answer this question, because I haven't really made the chest strap work yet. Correctly put on and humidified, the connection is confirmed on the watch, then I start on the cross trainer or cycle ergometer and the pulse rate display on the watch goes out after a short time and the app does not record anything either....
