Please be careful using this product. This was brought up in a Swedish documentary that investigated problems with these airbags. Here is a segment translated: Helmets with a known fault are sent to customers Hövding's management has always told the media and customers that it is a problem with the software, that is, the program that controls the helmet. "We made an update in July so those sold today do not have the same problem," said Hövding CEO Sofia Svensson in an interview in Dagens Industri in November 2022. But a hidden recording from inside the company from the fall of 2022 reveals a design flaw that the company chose not to tell about. "We ship out what I call... unsafe Chieftains", a consultant is heard to say when the CEO and Deputy CEO are present. Hear the recording from inside Hövding in the clip above. Problems with the power supply Hövding's technicians have concluded that the root cause of the problem is so-called fretting corrosion, which can cause problems with the power supply from the battery. On the recording from last autumn, it is also discussed that customers who advertised helmets are replaced with helmets that have the same type of fault. The vice president expresses that "we have no other choice". - I personally think that the helmets should have been recalled. This is how I think the safety of all cyclists should have been handled, says customer Ricardo Tarrida Thuré. As far as I know, the hövding is not suitable for e-scooters. e-scooters, because it "reads" the movement patterns of a person in order to know when to trigger the system because of a fall. Sounds logical to me, because people 🙃 move in very different ways, depending on the vehicle. I wear a helmet on my scooter (most of the time 🙄). Skate helmets, for example, are even cool after gunz. 🤷♂️ Still a bit exotic in this country, but anyone who's ever hit the ground (in city traffic) at 25 km/h won't want to do it a second time completely unprotected. 4 ribs & broken collarbone, and regarding the head (without helmet) I was more lucky than good....

Helpful answer

In Switzerland it is not obligatory to wear a helmet when cycling... It is only "strongly recommended". https://blog.veloplus.ch/2018/02/14/velohelmtragepflicht-in-der-schweiz/
