Yes, the battery and a USB cable are included. You can charge the battery with a standard mains adapter. I am very satisfied with the purchase. The battery lasts a long time and the three light levels are sufficient for me.

It has a front light. At the back of the battery pack there is a small red LED that lights up when the lamp is switched on. But this LED is small and not very bright. It does nothing for safety in road traffic.
