The X-SYNC 2 Eagle chainring is radically new. SRAM's engineers have studied the performance and wear of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. Chainrings of all sizes were subjected to every conceivable load, both in the test lab and in the field. The goal was to create a chainring that enhances the performance of the Eagle group under all conditions. The result: the chainring teeth are longer and shaped like a saw blade to perfectly engage with the Eagle chain. SRAM's new chainring thus increases chain tension and efficiency while pedaling. At the same time, it reduces friction, chain noise, and wear.
