The CXR from pedal specialist Xpedo has been specially developed for cyclocross use. In close cooperation with US professionals of the American Classic Cyclocross Team, their wishes were specifically addressed: Low weight without compromising durability and storage as well as precise function even in the muddiest conditions were at the top of the specifications for the CXR. Xpedo's Posi-Lock system allows for an extremely fast connection to the rider's shoe. To optimize this, the pedal has been balanced so that it is tilted at an angle of about 45° in the resting position and features an enlarged front retention claw that allows for a defined entry even with heavily soiled shoes and pedals. The pedal body is made of forged 6061 aluminum and available in several anodized colors. The pedal axles are made of CroMo steel and equipped with three sealed cartridge bearings. With a meager 295 grams per pair (manufacturer's specification), the Xpedo CXR are real lightweights.The spring tension and thus the release hardness can be adjusted. The pedals are supplied with Xpedo Cleats.
