Product details

The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes is the ultimate wheelset for road racing. This wheel delivers everything that performance-oriented cyclists demand. It is aerodynamically efficient and stable in all wind conditions. Additionally, a wider rim has been developed for tubeless tires with lower pressure to reduce rolling resistance and vibration losses, allowing you to lose as little energy as possible while riding. This wheel is optimized for 25 mm tubeless tires for maximum speed. The 454 NSW features Zipp's most advanced technologies. The wavy 58 mm Sawtooth rim shape with Hyperfoils is our most aerodynamic and stable wheel. The 454 NSW incorporates Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE), our approach to combating the biggest speed adversaries: aerodynamic drag, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The 454 NSW Tubeless for disc brakes is approximately one pound (over 400 grams) lighter than its predecessor! The use of hookless (straight) rims in the 454 NSW is a key component of "Making You Faster." With hookless, the transition between tire and rim is smoother and more aerodynamic. Zipp's hookless rims have a more efficient resin distribution, resulting in lighter and stronger wheels. An outdoor test commissioned by Zipp has demonstrated the practical benefits of Zipp TSE. A total system weight of 85 kg, including rider and bike, requires 278 watts with the new 454 NSW using 25 mm tires to maintain a speed of 40 km/h. This is a saving of 10 watts compared to the previous model 454 NSW. At the heart of the 454 NSW is the Cognition V2 hub set, which has been updated with a revised Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement, reduced friction, and improved durability.
