5. Continental TPU 28" S60 Road
The lightweight and space-saving TPU tube is suitable for both road and off-road applications. High-quality, micrometer-thick TPU is processed in seven layers, achieving optimal air tightness and durability. To ensure the highest material quality and prevent unwanted air loss, the tube has not been colored. The base of the valve stem is slightly conical in shape to improve the fit on the rim and reduce unwanted movement while riding. Additionally, the valve stem features an internal thread that allows for the use of valve extensions or a replacement valve core.

The new ContiTube tube program makes it even easier for you to find the optimal tube for your needs. The particularly clear and user-friendly tube system has been perfectly adapted in size, design, valve type, and length to the respective tire dimensions and intended uses. With different tube types, you can also influence the riding characteristics of your bike with minimal effort: The standard tube, available in all dimensions, offers the best compromise for everyday requirements. Weight and rolling resistance can be noticeably optimized with Light and Supersonic tubes. However, the reduced wall thickness down to 0.45 mm increases the risk of punctures. Additionally, lightweight tubes need to be inflated more frequently. On the other hand, the Hermetic-Plus tube is a worry-free product. Thanks to an improved formulation, it is now more compact and lighter, with an increased butyl content and higher wall thickness that make it particularly puncture-resistant. Because it also holds air for an extended period, it is a favorite among many bike rental companies. Our Freeride and Downhill tubes are also particularly strong and voluminous. They effectively protect against pinch flats with their extra-thick wall.
