Are deadlifts possible (with one set)? Or are the dumbbells too long for that, so that the arms are too far apart? I don't want to have to order an extra barbell.
The dumbbells bump against each other, but it's not really annoying. You can also hold them at an angle so they don't bump into each other. see here https://www.youtube.com/watch
I use the dumbbells for deadlifts, but I don't find them ideal for that.
The dumbbells are so wide that they butt up against each other and - depending on the width of your shoulders - your arms don't point completely straight down.
In addition, you can't lift and set them down as easily as a barbell because of the base station. (Of course, you can put them down on the floor and then put them back into the station later).
Deadlifts with two dumbbells work wonderfully! It's just limited to a maximum of 80kg in total and - in my opinion - you have to pay more attention to a straight back and pulled back shoulders than with a barbell. But definitely an alternative as an occasional replacement for the gym. Have fun with the dumbbells! They saved me from the lockdowns ...
