The Apple AirTag is not waterproof, but only splash-proof (IP67). This means that it can withstand brief immersion in water up to 1 metre deep for a maximum of 30 minutes, but permanent moisture or rain can lead to permanent damage. The AirBell itself does not additionally protect the AirTag from water, as it does not have a special housing for water protection. It is therefore advisable not to leave the AirTag permanently wet.
