I have never driven without additional accessories and the speed measurement was OK for me via the GPS reception.

Actually not, because it has GPS reception, the speed is also displayed. Since the device has some difficulty displaying an exact speed, e.g. in the forest or in narrow alleys, the Duo Magneetless Speed accessory helps.
