Yes and no. The Venu SQ supports the "accident detection" function. However, this is only the case during an activity. For this, the watch must have an existing connection to the phone. Mobile phone reception must be available. The emergency contacts must be stored on the Garmin Connect app.
The accident detection works in such a way that a concussion is detected with a reduction in speed. This can only be measured during an activity. I would therefore not recommend this watch for older people at risk of falling.
