How do I get the altimeter to work? No value is given for 'Hiking'? I would be grateful for help. With kind regards, Adrian Wood

Hello,
to use the altimeter, you need to download the app "Höhenm. Barometer" app in the Galaxy Store.

From the watch's home screen, press the Start/Stop button, then go to and press Alti-Barometer. Check and authorise the required application authorisations. Press Go to calibrate the altitude sensor for the first time. You can recalibrate the altitude sensor at any time by tapping the Refresh icon at the bottom of the screen. Slide your finger left or right to toggle between altimeter, barometer and settings. To adjust the application settings, press CHANGE.

Thanks but, I had already done that. I downloaded an Alti-Barometer app and it works, but still nothing appears in the hiking app.

Oh, one more thing: I have also activated the location information in the Samsung Healt app 😅

Hi Adrian, on my watch the altimeter works automatically in the "Hiking" workout, I didn't have to set anything. Maybe it has to do with the authorisation for the location. In the "Hiking" programme, I gave the watch permission in the settings for: location and exact location. Maybe that's the reason? Greetings Cornelia
