I have read feedback in other communities that the driving force tends to diminish quickly and the device also starts to squeak after a few weeks? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I use the appliance several times a week and this is not the case.
If it squeaks, you have to oil it, as it says in the instructions for use; a small bottle is included.
I can only recommend the device.
