I would also be interested to know which production batch this is. Newer like March 2020 would mean that the new battery holders are already fitted. Can anyone who has bought the product report which holders were included?

I bought the pedals at the end of March and the new holder was not yet included.
However, you can order the new battery holders free of charge from Garmin Support. That's what I did and it all worked very well.
I also advise you to use the following batteries (double button battery)
Varta Electronics CR1/3N
Varta Electronics CR1/3N (1pc., CR1/3N)
I had connection problems with the pedal at the beginning. Since I have been using this battery, everything runs flawlessly.
This battery is also referred to in various forums.
