Yes, there is pre-installed map material on the device. This is an OSM-based Garmin Europe cycling map that is specially optimised for cycling routes. These maps use the Trendline map system, which is based on billions of kilometres of ride data and enables bike-specific route planning. This allows you to cycle on popular and low-traffic routes in unfamiliar areas. Searchable points of interest (POI) are also included, which you can add to your route.
