It practically reaches the ground (watch out for the computer sliding quickly!).

Laptop compartment goes all the way to the bottom - then there is a usable height of 40 cm up to the protective flap. However, it is advisable to provide additional protection at the bottom (for hard standing).
A highly recommended rucksack, I use it "hard" every day. And contrary to Kalkwitz123's opinion, I have no problems whatsoever with the zips.
