The card is included, but you don't need it. You can actually programme almost any card as a key. I simply used my credit card as a token and it works perfectly. However, I have to say that I only use the app, the card is more of a gimmick for me.
Long story short: the card is included, but you can actually programme in any card with an NFC-enabled chip, you just have to rummage through your wallet a bit and test what works =)
