Hello folks, do you really take the garage inside in winter? I know it's better to take the robotic lawnmower and the charging station inside.....but the garage? Of course the temperatures put a strain on the plastic, but isn't that also the case in the hot summer? I'm curious to know what your practice is, or the years of experience you have had? Thank you

Helpful answer

I've been taking the Bot inside and leaving everything else outside for years. You just have to make sure that there is not too much snow/weight on the bonnet.

Take the garage inside. I packed the cables/plugs in a plastic bag. Moisture should not be a problem, there is more of it without a bag :-)
If the garage stays outside, be sure to put something under it. Otherwise it will buckle at the first snowfall.

The problem is not so much the weather, which could affect the plastic, but the weight of the snow, which pushes the folding part of the roof down (happened to the neighbours, plastic broke there).

You have two options:
Either support the hinged lid from below or remove only the hinged part and winter it inside (can be easily detached from the rest of the housing by removing the two bolts).

Thank you both.

How do those of you who take the charging station inside protect the cables or cable contacts that you separate from the charging station?

Do you put a plastic bag around them? Or can moisture collect inside?

👍🏻 Thanks

I have had this canopy for several years, it has been in the sun, snow and rain all the time and has not been damaged at all.
