Question about Gardena Spiral hose set

Hello Community! I have the following problem: I have connected the grey part to the water tap and I use the black part as an outlet: No water comes. The other way round, i.e. when the black part is connected to the tap, water comes...but the spray gun cannot be connected. Question: What am I doing wrong? Unfortunately, I haven't found any operating instructions. :(

Connect the grey part to the tap, the black part to the other end of the hose. To get water, you must also connect the spray gun to the black one and press the "trigger" (and the tap itself must also be open). This way you can always leave the tap open and use the spray gun to pour water as needed.

Did you connect the spray gun to the black part before you let water through? The black part has a protection when nothing is connected and does not let water through.
